Does LASIK Hurt?

No. You may feel some discomfort in terms of dryness of the eyes or excess tears during the procedure, but laser eye surgery doesn't hurt.

Is the procedure safe?

Every surgery has it's risks. Be sure to visit our homepage to see the risks associated. However, LASIK surgery is considered a relatively safe surgery.

When can I get back to work?

After your LASIK procedure, you can get back to work after 24 hours of healing time.

How long does it take?

The actual LASIK procedure only lasts about fifteen minutes per eye. You can get in and out in under a couple of hours.

Am I suitable?

During your initial consultation, we'll ask you a variety of questions regarding your biological make-up. After determining the inhereted risks, you can weigh the overall risk factors and make the decision for yourself. In some rare instances, LASIK is not advised.

Can I drive after the surgery?

No. You should have a friend or relative drive you home so that you can rest. You will need to let your eyes heal fully after the LASIK procedure and not strain them.

When can I wear makeup?

No. Wearing makeup might be fine in some instances, but to eliminate the risk of infection, we do not allow our patients to wear makeup during the operation.
